George Brashnarov

CEO Nemetschek Bulgaria

George Brashnarov is one of the Founders of the modern software industry in Bulgaria. In 1998 he advised and persuaded the famous software company Nemetschek Germany to open its new Development Lab in Sofia and became its first Manager. Five years later he acquired the majority share package and built one of the largest Bulgarian software companies with long-standing partnerships in the markets in the USA and western Europe.

Parallel to its main activity – Georgi Brashnarov actively works for the better presentation and positioning of the entire software industry – as a Founder and longtime Chairman of BASSCOM (Bulgarian Association of Software Companies), Chairman of the Board of ESI CEE (European Software Institute – Center Eastern Europe) and VP of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance in Brussels.

In recent years, Brashnarov became known as one of the first Business Angels in Bulgaria with a main mission to educate and organize other successful and experienced entrepreneurs in support of the newly emerging startup ecosystem. In this regard he is a Founder and MoB of CEO Angels Club and LP/investor in the early stage funds Launchub Ventures and Eleven.
