Dr. Valery Serbezov

Dr. Valery Serbezov has got over 30 years of Quantum Electronics, Material Science, Nanotechnology and project management experience in R and D and industrial design, test and production environment. He has been worked for a long time in Bulgarian Academy of Sciences as researcher; founder, co-founder and CEO of several high technology companies in field of lasers, material sciences and thin films deposition and nanotechnology. V. Serbezov have 7 patents and more than 90 scientific papers and reports in field of these areas; experience in international S and T projects, including FP6, FP7. His links with industry cover more than 12 industrial projects such as : (2014) Biohybrid printing – new technology platform for Laser Direct Synthesis and Printing of 2D and 3D hybrid nanocomposite objects – Nanotechplasma SARL; (2011) Functional nanocoatings for medical implants – Vascotec GmbH; (2007) New gas-phase method for synthesis of nanomaterials for catalytic applications – Nanogard Ltd.; (2004) Laser system and technology for super precision cutting of medical implants – stents – Bioplasma Engineering Ltd. Research interests: Lasers, Plasma and Beams for Biomedical and Nanotechnology applications. University education: Dipl. Phys. (MSc) /75-79/ at Plovdiv University, Bulgaria, PhD /87-92/ at Institute of Electrical Engineering (Electro-Physical Center, Bratislava) of Czech-Slovakian Academy of Sciences.
